Antigua and barbuda

Overview

Antigua and Barbuda is in the middle of the Leeward islands in the Eastern Caribbean. Antigua is divided into six parishes and has two dependencies: Barbuda and Redonda. Additionally, there are many smaller islands, which form part of Antigua. The island of Antigua is home to the nation’s capital, the centre of all major activity and is the most populous. Antigua and Barbuda is said to have a beach for every day of the year. Its closest neighbours are Saint Kitts and Nevis and Monserrat.  The island is a former British colony, and its historic English Harbour is the site of Nelson’s Dockyard. Tourism and Financial services are major revenue earners.
